I'm a technical operations manager at Qloud.com. We write an application used on social networks like Facebook, Bebo, Hi5 and Open-Social powered networks. It allows you to share your musical playlists online with your friends and play your music, theirs or search for other music to play online. I fancy myself as someone who knows how to come up with efficient solutions to technical problems while keeping them simple without sacrificing performance. I am particularly interested in scalability issues as they pertain to databases and clustered services. This blog is really a place where I can publish some of my thoughts on tech things in general but also as a place for documentation on problems that I face that I'd like to share. While not working, I spend my time trying to complete an open-source IP management system (URL to be supplied when I have my first version up), learning to become a better photographer, enjoying time with my family.
